So I guess I'll update with an actual wedding day post! I know most brides barely remember the day because it goes by so fast, but I actually remember quite a bit of the day. So...here we go!!
Morning
My maid of honor and I got up and had free breakfast down in Aleatheas (where our reception would be held later on). We then hoped in the car and headed to the Hair Cuttery and met my mom, grandma, aunt, cousin, mother in law, and sister in law to get our hair done. It took a while for the stylists (2 of them) to get us all done, but they did a FABULOUS job.
We got back to the room and our flowers had arrived! The pink and orange daisies were my bouquet, the orange bouquet was the maid of honors, and the yellow daisies were for the bridesmaids. They also gave us a smaller toss bouquet. I actually didn't toss it at the reception, so after the reception I tossed it and my maid of honor caught it before she left (she was the only one to throw to, lol). There were also orange daisies for the men and white roses for the ladies.
So afternoon came and we spent most of the time...chilling in the room. My friend Lindsey came to hang out with Jessie and I while my aunt fixed my hair up until the ceremony (my curls kept going flat, lol). We got me in my dress, and Jessie made sure to bustle it and fix it so I didn't have back flab (they showed her how to do it at the seamstress). We waited for my cousin and my sister in law to arrive, then we all headed downstairs. People staying at the hotel kept staring at us, or congratulated me, felt great. We got down and had to walk through the restaurant so we could walk up the aisle. My dad was hanging out waiting for me and we goofed off until it was time to walk me down the aisle.Let me mention, our officiant was awesome. She played some music from her iPad as a surprise, and she had the guys positioned so they couldn't see me until I got up there. It didn't rain!!!
CeremonySo the ceremony went great. I kept standing and moving around, and afterwards my mom said they were giggling because I was doing what I did as a kid when I would have to be in front of crowds of people (I was nervous), so it made her feel nostalgic. A friend I made here in Michigan actually wrote our vows for us. The officiant had written some but they didn't feel like us, so with some input from me, Heather wrote them. She did a fantastic job. Afterwards, I mad dashed down the aisle with my new hubby...and I tried
not to sink into the grass (I was wearing heels, the ground was still damp=sinking while walking.
Post Ceremony: Photo Op
I'm just going to leave some photos of the wedding party, here ya go!

Reception
The reception was nice. There was no dancing allowed, but that's another story. Hubby and I danced to "I See the Light" from Tangled for our first dance (which was actually our first dance...LITERALLY. We don't dance..lol). I danced with my dad to "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong (inside joke with my dad: He's a singer, and the first time I saw him perform he sang this song. I made funny faces at him the whole time. The end.)
Hubby and his mom danced to "Forever Young" by Rod Stewart. It was very sweet. We cut the cake, and had some difficulties doing so, but we got it. After dessert, we went with the photographer and he took some shots of just the two of us. We ended up at an arcade down the road and took photos playing games in the arcade (something we like to do).

All in all, the day went well. I do have some things I would have done differently (like had more decision making in the process. My mom planned a majority of it because we are in MI now and they're closer to where we were getting married). Other then that, it was a good day and we had fun.
After the ceremony, I got a free Shirley Temple from the bar, and then Hubby and I walked to Wawa for hoagies, yay hoagies!

So I thought I'd share the story of our wedding, and it wouldn't be complete without the pre-wedding story...with some photos!!
We made the drive back home around the middle of September. We had a 12-15 hour car ride, so we left around midnight to drive back. We arrived at D's house and his family was so happy to see us (they hadn't seen us since D moved out here in February and I moved out in March).
That evening we headed over to the bridal shower. There were quite a few people there. Everyone was so happy to see us, it had been months. We opened gifts, ate food, had fun. D went home and I went and stayed with my parents. The dog was so happy to see me (I love him, he's a big Akita, so loveable!).
We had another "bridal shower" with friends that week at my favorite Japanese bar in Center City. It was a lot of fun!
My maid of honor and I headed down to the shore a few days before the wedding so we could chill, etc. We picked up my dress in Cherry Hill and drove down to the shore. We were staying in an old style hotel right by the beach. It was cute! We spent our time shopping and walking around Cape May. We even got our nails done and had breakfast with our friend Ashley (who came down a little early for the wedding as well).
The day before the wedding there was a small marathon so we got to watch it from the hotel. We did a quick rehearsal at the venue, then we went to our rehearsal dinner at my family's beach house. There were A BUNCH of people.
D suggested we grab the boogie boards and go to the beach. We thought he was nuts at first because it was a little cooler and it was windy. But nope, he wasn't. We grabbed the boogie boards and D, his best man (S), his wife, my maid of honor, D's sister, her boyfriend, and I piled in the cars and went down to the beach. D and S hopped right in and were in there quite a while. I went in, dunked under the water and came back out. IT WAS COLD!
S ended up getting stung by a jellyfish in the ordeal.
Coming up next....WEDDING DAY DUM DUM DUM.

Long time no blog! We have no internet so I only get access either at the station or at select places in town.
So we're all settled in and I like it here! I'm not too fond of all the snow, but I'm getting used to it. I'm slowly getting used to living with the boy and slowly getting adjusted when he's working and I'm home alone. I'm a city girl so I'm not used to all the country quiet.
I'm looking for a job, hoping SOMETHING comes through soon. I am also planning wedding stuff (we have a date, venue, etc so hurray!!). I am excited for the wedding, only a few months away!!
I'm contemplating trying to get my photography business started up here, so we'll see how that goes!!
Moving on up!

So the fiance and I got a place up in Michigan. He'll be heading back up there next week and I'll be heading up there the week after or the next one after that (hopefully).
I'm excited but stressed out at the same time. This is the first time I'm really moving away from home. I did move to FL for a few months twice to do an internship (Disney College Program), but this is a bit different. I have to take about 95% of my stuff with me this time and I'll actually be closer to home then I was when I was in Florida, which I find a little funny.
Some of my stresses are the following...
-Money. It is VERY tight. I am going to job hunt the second I get up there. There are a few places I could work at, the problem is will any of them hire me?
-New place. I did have a chance to get to know the place a little bit since the fiance and I went up there for a few days. It's a nice little town, I know I'll love it in the summer time!
-Quiet. My fiance said he's worried about me coming from the city going to the "country". He's right I am a city girl, being out of a city will be a new thing for me.
-STUFF. I have too much of it. I need to throw stuff away so I'm not carting a load the size of a house to the new place. I also need to not buy things I don't need.
-Family. They're all here in PA. I'm going to miss them but I can visit them and they can also visit us.
So typical stresses one has when big life changes are occurring. I know we'll be fine and it will be an adventure. Wish us luck!
Wedding Colors?!

So I'm trying to decide on colors for the wedding. I am having a hard time deciding. I REALLY like pink and orange, but I'm trying to incorporate "boy" colors as I'm sure my fiance won't be super thrilled with pink (ahaha). I guess orange would be a boy color, but with the pink?

So, the CG adventure is taking us to Michigan. It's already been an adventure trying to find apartments, a job, etc. Hanging in there, but the hunt is a bit stressful.
We're going to Michigan, and we're excited but I'm stressed out as I always get when I go anywhere new.
The closest I've been to Michigan is Ohio, and that was only for a convention (lol).
So anyway some of the things I'm looking forward to...
-Living in the country
(I'm a city girl and so is my fiance, so this will be interesting!)
-New place
(It's a new place for both of us)
-Moving out
(I'm excited for moving out, yay!)
Not so excited about...
-SNOW
(It snows where we are now, but there's more snow up in Michigan, I'll get used to it, but that means more shoveling!)
-A little colder
(Being from the city where you have all four seasons is nice, going somewhere where the temperature is a bit cooler all year round will take some getting used to but I will manage).
So there you go, a little update, hurray!
